Dr. Mark Harris serves as Executive Pastor of Church Ministries and shares AAC ministry oversight responsibilities with Rev. Dan Dinkler. Mark is also one of AAC’s primary teaching pastors.

Mark came to know Christ as a little boy at an AWANA club meeting in 1969, at his small urban church. It was just a few years later that Mark started on a quest to, one day, be a pastor.

Fresh out of school, he joined Appleton Alliance in 1987 as the Student Ministries Pastor. Over the next thirty-plus years he would come and go serving in the pastorate in both Cincinnati, Ohio and Erie, Pennsylvania.

As a graduate of Moody Bible Institute (MBI) Mark loves his hometown of Chicago. In 2005 he received a doctorate of ministry degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary under the tutelage of Haddon Robinson. His deepest desire is to communicate God’s word accurately and relevantly.

Mark and his wife of thirty years, Teresa, have four grown children (Lauren, Nathan, Andrew, and Samantha). He is the chief of sinners and a Packers fan (not related).
